Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith: Anakin’s Transformation //Cinematography and Lighting Analysis//

Countdown to SW9. Last 6 days. In day 3, we take a cinematic journey to Anakin’s character transformation. This transition is visually portrayed through the character’s lighting and costumes.

In the early scenes with Padme the lighting is soft and bright.

As the film continues and Anakin’s relationship with the Chancellor progresses, the number of dark scenes increase.

Here is an interesting scene where Anakin is talking with Yoda. There is dark and light together at the same time indication his stance in between and that his transition has not fully taken place yet.
